Software Engineer

Join IWI's growing technology function and help build the infrastructure behind our publishing, research and data products. This is a high-ownership role for an engineer who wants to work across product, frontend, backend, structured data, technical SEO, automation and research tooling.
Current and future work includes the Global Antisemitism Tracker, IWI Briefings, entity-based knowledge architecture, search and discovery, research databases, AI-assisted workflows, audience systems and infrastructure designed to support our goal of reaching 3 million monthly visitors.
- Strong production engineering experience
- Comfort moving across frontend and backend problems
- Interest in scalable publishing, research, search or data products
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving small team

Journalist
London, Tel Aviv or Remote · Full-Time or Contract
We are looking for a journalist who can combine strong reporting instincts with the ability to work from primary sources, official documents, datasets and expert interviews. The role will contribute to both daily analysis and longer-lived IWI research products.
Relevant beats include U.S.-Israel relations, Europe-Israel relations, regional security, diplomacy, technology, political economy and antisemitism. We value careful sourcing, intellectual independence and the ability to distinguish reporting from analysis.
- Published journalism or comparable research experience
- Excellent written English
- Confidence working from primary sources
- Strong judgment on politically contested and fast-moving topics

Volunteer Community Builder
Remote · Flexible volunteer role
Help us grow the community around IWI's research, briefings, petitions and public-interest work. This role is suited to someone who enjoys connecting people, identifying useful communities and creating thoughtful ways for readers, researchers and supporters to participate.
You may help with community outreach, contributor relationships, events, petitions, feedback programmes, supporter communications and identifying experts or organisations relevant to IWI projects.
- Strong communication and organisational skills

A small team building for much larger reach
IWI currently has a 15-person team and is funded through a combination of donations and supporters, investment into the organisation and its growth, and advertising and commercial partnerships. We maintain office spaces in London and Tel Aviv, alongside remote team members.
Our ambition is to reach 3 million monthly visitors within the next six months while building a research platform that is useful to readers, journalists, policymakers, researchers and institutions.
